National Science Day
On the occasion of National Science Day, students of BSc Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND) from CGC Landran organized an engaging and interactive session at Birla Open Minds Preschool, Mohali, to spread awareness among young children about the science of food and its importance.
The session was designed to be fun and educational, allowing children to learn about healthy eating habits through hands-on activities. The BSND students conducted exciting games such as "Find the Healthy and Junk Food from the Bag," where kids identified nutritious and unhealthy food items, and "Draw Your Healthy Plate," encouraging them to visualize and understand balanced meals.
One of the highlights of the event was the live demonstration of no-sugar laddoos, where children actively participated in making their own healthy sweets. This activity aimed to emphasize the benefits of natural sweeteners and healthy alternatives.
The event successfully instilled curiosity and awareness among young minds about the role of nutrition in overall health. The initiative by BSND students not only made learning fun but also encouraged children to make healthier food choices from an early age.
