Guided through state-of-the-art facilities, they witnessed the intricate processes of manufacturing iconic products - Lay's chips, puff corn, and potato chips, extrusion process, a key step in the production of extruded snacks, was demonstrated.

Students learned about the machinery and techniques employed to produce the desired shapes and textures of the snacks. In addition, they learned about the importance of packaging in preserving product freshness, ensuring product safety, and enhancing shelf appeal. Throughout the visit, the importance of safety and quality assurance measures was emphasized.
