INDUSTRIAL VISIT – WYNDHAM MOHALI

Students from B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (BSCHHA) and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) currently studying at Chandigarh College of Hospitality, Chandigarh Group of Colleges gained firsthand exposure to International Hospitality Standards at Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali on 14th March, 2026. This was organized as a part of regular exposure of the students to hotel operations during the ongoing semesters.

The initiative was designed to immerse students in the operational excellence and service culture of a luxury hotel, bridging classroom learning with real-world industry practices.

During the visit, students explored key operational departments and got a glimpse into World-Class Operations, including:

• Front Office – guest relations, check-in protocols, and service personalization
• Food Production – kitchen workflows, hygiene standards, and culinary innovation
• Food & Beverage Service – restaurant service excellence and international dining standards
• Housekeeping – maintaining luxury standards of cleanliness and comfort

A highlight of the visit was the interactive session with seasoned hospitality professionals, who shared their career journeys, industry expectations, and guidance on essential competencies for success. The departmental head from various operational area of the hotel provided comprehensive view of organizational hierarchy, departmental coordination, and SOPs, showcasing how seamless guest experiences are crafted in a five-star environment.

Speaking about the initiative, faculty coordinators emphasized that such visits are integral to holistic hospitality education, enabling students to witness firsthand; the standards of international hospitality organizations. The exposure not only enhances technical knowledge but also instills confidence and motivation to excel in the industry.

The industrial visit to Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali proved to be an enriching and transformative experience for the students.
