INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO LUDHIANA AIRPORT

Students of the Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM), Chandigarh College of Hospitality, CGC Landran undertook an industrial visit to Ludhiana Airport on 27th February 2025 as part of their practical learning experience. The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand knowledge of airport operations and infrastructure. During the visit, Mr.Yudhveer Singh (Terminal Manager) guided the students about understanding passenger movement, check-in procedures, and baggage handling systems. Mr. Ravi (Fire and Safety Manager shared the knowledge about Fire and Safety Measures, learning about emergency response systems, fire safety protocols, and disaster management at the airport. Mr. Mohammad Hasif (Air Traffic Controller Manager) shared the knowledge about the Runways and Air Traffic Operations, observing runway management, aircraft landing and takeoff procedures, and air traffic control coordination. The visit proved to be an enriching experience, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical exposure. It enhanced the students' understanding of airport management and aviation safety, preparing them for future roles in the tourism and travel industry.
