HARVEST HAVEN: EXPLORING ORCHARDS AND CULTIVATING INSIGHTS BY B.SC. HONOURS NUTRITION AND DIETETICS STUDENTS

A group of enthusiastic students from Chandigarh College of Hospitality, B.Sc. Honours Nutrition and Dietetics embarked on an enriching field trip to Coco orchards, Village Majal Khurd, Patiala, guided by the affable Mr. Navjot Shergill, a maestro in the art of strawberry cultivation.

A transformative excursion to strawberry fields proved invaluable for college students immersed in nutrition studies. Surrounded by lush fields of vibrant berries, students delved into the nexus of agriculture and health. They gleaned firsthand insights into sustainable farming practices, from cultivation to harvest. Sampling freshly picked strawberries enriched their nutritional knowledge. This experiential learning opportunity not only deepened academic understanding but also cultivated a passion for promoting wholesome, sustainable dietary practices among future nutrition professionals.
