EXPLORING MILLETS: SUPERFOODS OF THE CENTURY

Chandigarh College of Hospitality, CGC, Landran in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh hosted an enlightening one-day workshop centred around millets ‘Millets: Superfoods of the century.’ Students of BSc. Honor (Nutrition and Dietetics) actively participated in the event, showcasing their culinary prowess as they crafted diverse recipes such as gujia, dosa, idli, cake, pasta using millets. These delectable creations were then tasted and judged by dietician Ruchita, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Her expert judgement not only acknowledged student’s efforts but also understood the nutritional significance of millets. Moreover, she conducted an engaging quiz elucidating the importance of integrating millets into daily diets. The workshop served as a platform for learning, creativity and fostering awareness about healthier dietary choices.
